Spring Forward?- No, thanks!

     AHhhhh...swinging on a swingset, long flowing yellow sundress(YES, I said yellow-details are important)my flipflops kicked off so toes can wiggle, hair blowing in the ever so slight cool breeze, the sweet smell of tulips and naked ladies(MINDS OUT OF THE GUTTER-THAT'S A SPRING FLOWER-sheesh!) and maybe the scent of the first grass cutting of the season around me and my face tilted toward the Heavens - eyes closed as the sun kisses my cheeks -adding a touch of color for that healthy glow ,my worries put on hold for a few, my  tummy  tingling as I soar........all on a warm Spring day.
     My friends, you have just dropped in for a quick visit to but one of my HAPPY PLACES:) Why would I not want to Spring forward and get there in body as well as mind? Well, I do, but I don't mind waiting. The anticipation of exciting happenings are MORE than half the fun, in my opinion. The fun of planning- I LOVE to plan- the lists, the shopping-all that is involved in said exciting happening. Looking forward to  a long list of holidays, celebrations & special days right now, but as I age or lets just say it-as I get Old, I am finding too many times I have wished  the day away, so excited about tomorrow.  You know you are just as guilty," Come on weekend"or "hurry and be gone with yourself mean Monday!' or how many of ya have said"ugh, please let this diaper stage pass quickly" And best of all "Let's just skip these days of Winter(3 months of your life) and get right to Spring!  The Winter days in my neck of the woods have given us excitement and down time, memories in the snow and activities on the frigid stay- home from school days.  I will be honest there were some times in the recent weeks when I believed insanity was setting in and the cabin fever had me a little crazy BUT and that's a BIG but(the good but as Wyatt says, not the bad butt) but, I would not trade them for anything- as the song says these are some good times and we're gonna miss this! 
     I say all this to say, if March brings yet another blizzard (oh my goodness)embrace it!  As you plan for the future be sure to take the time to enjoy THIS moment!
